    I keep seeing this on descriptions on ebay. Is this some kind of injoke or what?

    Not really. there are some people that want just a display item for what ever reason. I watch the American pickers on TV a lot and you should see the junk they pay REAL good money for. I watched them pay in the thousands for a motor cycle frame or should I say pieces . I've seen better stuff go through the shredder at the steel mill where I use to work.
