    Default One week progress....

I gave myself my first SR shave last Friday. Today I gave myself my 5th SR shave. I am getting closer each time. I can get my sideburns, cheeks and neck pretty well. I still have some rough places on my neck but nothing terrible and nothing that anyone but my wife will notice. I have discovered that I can make two passes WTG on the sides of my face. I have not figured out XTG and/or ATG.

I will make two passes WTG on my neck, then one pass ATG. It seems to do a nice job. I am not hurrying for XTG. I have not given myself a noticeable cut yet, my time is coming I know

I like to think my stropping is going good. I can still cut hanging hair on my arm after a week. I know that I will need to send the razor off for the next honing soon but I like to (fool myself) think that I am starting slowly and smartly.

Thanks to everyone who has posted helpful information here. Some posts have been in direct response to my questions, many more posts were made by other members and I was able to learn from what was shared.

Keep up the good work ,, and just stay slow and easy with your stropping, you can keep from a honing for quite a while as long as you keep doing what your doing , most new guys have already rolled an edge , I know I did !! Congrats!!!! Tc
