I'm glad to hear that you are pleased with the edges. The DD was a treat. The one made by the C. H. Ina Company took a lot of work! The stabilizer had to be ground back so the blade would lay flat on the hones. After that it was quite well behaved.

I've played with the C. H. Ina blades before/even bought some to see what all the fuss was about. Some will shave/Some won't, plain and simple. The ones that will shave take a lot of work and definitely Are Not for Beginners to Learn to Hone On! I gave one to a friend so that he could try a 6/8, it was a shaver but the edge wouldn't hold up to his tough beard as it broke down after only a few shaves.

However! Thanks to another friend I was eventually able to give his lovely bride a 6/8 Ralf Aust N/C to give him as a Christmas Present this last year. He loved it and the edge is still holding.
