Thanked: 0Have razors, need honing
Well, I broke down and gave in. I have been wetshaving for 6 months or so with a DE, but I have always been intrigued by the straight. Last week I bought a straight from a member here that should arrive shave ready. I also ordered two of the Wapencia? razors from ebay. The ebay razors showed up today and I expect the other any day now along with a strop. What I am in need of is someone who could put an edge on my two e-bay razors for me. I would prefer someone in the noretheast to save me shipping time and waiting. Thanks, Paul

I hone razors but I live in Belgium. NE is probably NE USA?
Shipping between here and there is not really more expensive, but costs more time.
There are several US based members here who offer honing services as well.

Thanked: 0I also have razors that need honing. I'm in Norway. (Check maps.google.com if you don't know where it is.)
My attempts at honing never seem to get the razors to shaving sharp, and the ones I had that were pre-honed are starting to tug. Not fun.

Shipping within the EU costs the same as shipping nationally.
If you don't mind sending them to Belgium, send me a PM and we can work something out.Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.

Wow, my name shouldn't be mentioned in conjunction with those other guys, but thanks, Bruno.
I'd be willing to hone your razors for you; just send me a PM if you're interested.

I would take up that offer and go with Josh if I were you since his honing is well respected in this community and he seems fairly close logistically to you. If for some reason it does not work out I would also be willing to hone the razors for you for free as long as you cover shipping. I have done arround 10 of these razors so far. They are very easy to hone compared to other razors and take an extremely sharp edge. You made a very good choice in purchasing these razors.
