First Full Face Shave
Today was day seven and I was able to shave my whole face and neck. Still have quite a ways to go, but that really felt good.
I have no sideburns and can not seem to get a position and mirror angle to see that area and so the upper edge and by my ear line seem to be blind and by feel.
Doing the chin is not comfortable yet and need a great deal of practice to find how to keep the skin smooth, not wrinkled in the center lower portion.
Still need to go over areas with the cartridge and can't wait for the day that I can put that away for good.
Having a great time and am thankful for all the advice and great people here on the SRP.
Thank to all that have helped me.

Well congratulations! I just mentioned in another post that I shave my sideburn area by feel. Chin is always the last to be learned IME, and for a long time I finished with a DE; however, a big advantage of doing that was that it gave me feedback on where I was missing, or not doing well, so I could concentrate on those areas with the SR on my next shave.

Congratulations! That's a fine accomplishment for 7 days of shaving. The sideburns are almost a blind spot that you have to do by feel. Keep working at it and soon it will all be second nature.

I am still excited for my next shave as soon as I finish. Used to hate shaving and now I really enjoy it. So much more of an experience than putting in a new cartridge every week and pushing a button for shave cream and then shaving as quick as possible to just get it done.

Congratulations! What an incredible feeling, huh?! :-) For the Sideburn area and down along right next to my ear, what I do is to touch the very front (Flat/Dull Area) of the Toe against the top of my ear so I know by feel exactly where the blade is to start... After touching my ear I just gently rotate the cutting edge down and start the pass. Light and short strokes always work best for me in that area. That part of my ear used to be what I'd cut most often so I think I developed that 'Toe-Tap' to the ear thing as a way to reduce bloodshed and then it just became intuitive from there.

I am using a Ralf Aust Solingen 5/8, really like it and am now trying to decide what my next new razor will be. Possibly a Dovo black ebony 6/8, got to have a second.
