    Shave ready out of the box? But was I?

    I ordered a shave ready razor from Tony Miller as I wanted a bench mark before I botched it with rooky honing and stropping.

    Well sure if I wasn’t so deep in the zone that I didn’t bother to really examine the razor.

    As I drew the blade down my heavily creamed face I experienced a rush of adrenalin and copper tasting fear as it seemed for the briefest of millisecond that I might have tore a flap of my skin off!

    …Relax all was good and I steadied up.

    It was in fact just the plastic Dovo Solingen peel off logo coming off the blade.

    The devil truly is in the details.
