    Default Dry Face While Shaving

After my first pass of the razor, if I try to go back to an area that I've gone over, where there is no lather, my face feels very dry and my SR kind of sticks. Is this normal. I'm using Baum.BE.

Re-lather your face before you go over it again . You don't want the razor sticking to your face , and trying to shave dry is a great way to get razor burn , and cuts . Especially if you're a noob .

Arrgghhh! You might try that with a safety razor but not a straight. You're a brave man!!!

    Razor kinda sticks = Scars!!!

Lather, lather, lather! That's why you practice making mounds of lather with your brush. To use it on your face.

The lather is to protect your face not give you an enjoying scent while you shave.

... wait a minute, you were pulling my leg right?

May your lather be moist and slick, the sweep of your razor sure, and your edge always keen!

Your the areas you are shaving should be very wet. Look out for the lather drying up. As a beginner you may need to re lather a few times for each pass.

Thanks, guess I'm just used to a cartridge still, where you can continually go over and over the same area. Still learning, will re-lather before going back to touch up spots.

Give Noxzema Cleansing Cream a try. Massage a small amount into your wet whiskers. Lather your soap directly over-top. Do this after each pass with your razor. http://straightrazorpalace.com/pre-s...product-2.html

I'll give that a try, my wife always has some around for putting on sunburn.

    Thanks.
