Sometimes I pull my nose up and to the side while lowering my jaw to stretch that area. It also helps if you shave it in a couple of different directions before you do a full ATG. Left, right, diagonal up and in.

You may not need to do all of that. Keep trying and you will find what works for you. I'm with you in that I am not truly satisfied with my upper lip unless I shave it ATG.

I've been shaving with a straight long enough to know that I could master this...
But I don't want to...just reading this line makes me a little queasy, and not much makes me queasy...

Lol. Yes I'm quite sure you could do it, but it sounds like it's not for you. No shame in that. The only serious cut I've ever had on my upper lip was on a WTG pass for what it's worth.

I wouldn't say it makes me queasy, but I can't imagine how some of these guys shave their head with a straight. Especially the parts they have to do blind. I know it's just muscle memory and practice, but maybe a healthy dose of "nerves of steel" as well. I'm not sure I could bring myself to do it.

I'm like you and have the same issue. I give it a good try but eventually end up pulling out the old trusty Merkur DE for the lip. I also have a couple moles around my lips so I usually need to use the DE to keep from ripping them open. But I continue to try to achieve that 100% straight shave.

If it makes you feel better it isn't the same one he grew in '69, we'll not unless it's really long

is that the fresh, post movember regrowth mark? It's looking pretty healthy now.

That was from a while ago...
This is from 14 FEB - I will get something current in a day or so...
This would be the 3.5 month Mo...

By the way you can "stash" enough lather in this to get a decent touch up pass...
