I now know what a true shave ready razor feels like.
hey guys
I just got my Wade and Butcher in the mail today from ebay
its a 5/8 half hollow with ox horn scales
the guy on eBay said it was shave ready and it was. i love it after trying to shave with a RenRen razor that left me with a day or two growth on my face.
i did a one pass and got my cheeks smooth my chin smooth and just a little bit if hair at the sides of my mouth still need to work on my neck area and using my left hand but I'm getting there considering that i first picked up a str8 razor 2 weeks ago. and the thing was junk. i posted about it in the RenRen thread i think I'm going to use it for honing when i get some hones.
I'm going to say that this is my first day shaving with a str8
maybe in a month i'll see how well I'm doing
thanks guys for all the support and for answering all the question from us newbes

Hi, good job, beeing only week 2, I think I had a few more unexpected facial features(nicks and cuts), well I did a searce on honing a RenRen and it unfortuitly does not look like a good blade to even practice honing with. http://straightrazorpalace.com/razor...sows-ears.html

Congrats on first shave! Its hard to beat a Wade & Butcher especially for a first quality str8 razor, they are some of the best out there and should last you a long time. Happy Shaving!
