Thanks Cudarunner
As a beginner I have chosen not to try and hone my own razors from the bevel set and up. I do have a Naniwa 12k that I will use sparingly just to lightly refresh a razor. (Although I haven't yet mustered the courage)
So I contacted Roy (cudarunner) by PM and asked his advice about the two beauties below. He agreed they were above a beginners skill level. Only five months in I'm still working on getting good, consistent shaves. So I sent my razors to Roy, and they returned quickly, and with wicked sharp; buttery smooth edges. He also was kind enough to tighten the pivot pin on the W&B for me since it was loose enough for the blade to open on it's own. (I didn't ask him to, and was surprised that he made the extra effort)
Thanks again Roy for the wicked edges and great advice.

Roy is good people. He helped me along the journey as well. He is what this community is all about. In fact I should probably email him to check up on him.
And those blades are sweet!

Chopper dave As you have found out Roy is an all around great guy ,, and his edges are really good too!! But mostly he's a friend to so many and gives of his time generously. Great shaves are in your future. Tc

It was my pleasure to work on your razors for you. It's always a nice feeling to have your work complimented on. I do try to tighten guys pins for them if they need it, I was hesitant on yours as those vintage scales are just that Vintage
Be careful with both razors (scales and blades) and they should be shaving for you for quite awhile.
Enjoy the ride! It's a long strange trip but well worth the journey. Our house is as Neil left it- an Aladdins cave of 'stuff'.
