Default First SR shave today - Any tips?

Everything is laid out in front of me and I'm about to embark on this journey. Any last minute tips or tricks that will make this first shave (only cheeks) a success?

Go slow and be patient. Be satisfied with incremental progress. Make sure blade angle is about 30 degrees (two spine widths) and use very little pressure against the skin.

Thanks. I keep hearing to be patient. I figured that would be most important.

Well, I still have both ears and no stitches were needed.

I feel like it was mostly just a sharp metal lather remover at this point, but I'm sure when my angles and grip and all other basic techniques get better I'll cut more hair.

In a very real way, that should never change It should always feel like you're only removing lather, until you're done and then notice that there's no longer hair!

Ears and nose still there - always a good start.

What razor, what age, who honed and stropped it before shave #1?

What razor - Geneva Cutlery Corp. Pyramid Brand 5/8 Round Point Full Hollow
what age - Not sure on the age, I could ask the person I bought it from.
who honed and stropped it before shave #1? - His name is Brian - He was selling it here on the Classisfied, but he also runs TRINITYSHAVING.com - Here are the details of how he honed it before he sent it to me - Honed on naniwa stones with one layer of tape.
