Strop is for daily use before a shave so yes strop. If your razor it not shave ready you will need honeS to get it shave ready. Send it out and it will come back ready to go but you will need a strop for daily use.

At it's bluntest hones are used to sharpen a razor and a strop is used to maintain the edge daily
