Thanked: 0Yea that's right. I had no idea you could stop that from chipping by using an oil! I'm extremely beginning! I've had this razor since my husbands aunt moved and she told us to go through the attic I and take what we wanted, she collected antiques, so we found some incredible things! So the short of it is I don't know what beats foot oil is but I will be Google-ing that next, thank you for the info!!!

Thanked: 3795Ok, if you look for it, make sure you get actual neatsfoot oil, NOT neatsfoot compound.

Thanked: 0Gotcha did my looking and prime neatsfoot oils and neatsfoot compound are not animal based, wonder why they use the name? It sounds really gross haha! Yellow oils that come from shin bones from cows! Wonder who thought to do this in the first place! I will try this for sure!
