Thread: need help sharpening (South Africa)

hi all i just bought my first straight razor (a Dovo) and it needs to be sharpened. i have tried stropping it with cotton webbing and oxide powder but it still wont shave my beard. is there any honemeister in South Africa , specifically gauteng who can help me get my razor back to good form ?

You're in luck. There's a guy that lives in PTA that honed my Henckels for me 2 weeks ago.

Me too please! I'd like to get one sharpened... i tried myself, but i nearly wedged my home built razor before it could shave... and it can be better... want to take next one to someone proper...
