Default A another Straight Razor for Icarusflies

Yes, the life of an addict is not easy and for me the time has come to indulge one more.....

My choices are Wacker the Barbiers Bride, Dovo Bismark, Dovo la Forme, Dovo Le Carre

It is almost unfair to compare the Wacker with the other SR since it cost almost twice as much but I have heard so many good thing about Wacker that I am ready to bite the bullet...I just need some push from my fellow addict.....

The Dove La forme is very special. I saw it the other day and the forme of the scale appeal to me.

By the way, my other two SR are Dovo Best Quality and Boker Silver Steel

Thanks for your opinions....I am going for a shave now.....

I have exactly one Wacker razor. Though I had no idea what a Wacker Barbiers Bride looked like until I google it, I was already confident that it would be an awesome razor. I have about a thousand razors but only about a dozen of them are new. I have to be really curious about a razor maker to buy a new razor but I can tell you that the one Wacker razor that I own is sufficient to give me confidence to tell you that you will not regret buying a Wacker. They are very well made.

On my part, consider yourself pushed.

Made with love and loved by shavers. They are good blades and you already have one Dovo, so continue trying other makers.

And then buy the other three razors!

It s done. I have adopted a Wacker The Barbers Bride.....the problem is that I saw at the store the Wacker Chevalier which was also up for adoption, even tho I did not get it, I now truly wanted together with the Dovo flow and mammut......this is really getting silly...

Any special way to care for the horn scales of the barbiers bride or should I just treat it like synthetic?

It only took two people to nudge you. That didn't take much!
    Welcome to RAD!

For horn scales, I wipe them down with neatsfoot oil about once a year.
