So I'm working on my right cheek. Can anyone not jump when the dog has an 'intruder' episode? Class A gouge. Bled for like 10 minutes. Not "Bad Dog!" More like dumpazz daddy.

Good moto to live by. I once cut a finger tip off on a wood working jointer. I got distracted by the dog while I was operating it. The wife at the time bitched at me the whole time on the way to the er.
I cant figure out what was worse.

I learned the hard way not to shave distracted...
The door is now shut during shaving to keep out wife, kids, and pets! I still have a scar from a shaving mis-slice, and don't need another.

Welcome the forum. I'm originally from Florence, not too far from you.
That sucks. I like dogs, but this is one more reason I don't want them in the house!

99% of the time she is asleep when I shave.
    Works for both of us.

If she does come into the bath mid-shave, she opens the door very slowly.

    I am lucky.

Awesomeness! I too had a recent close encounter. I'm still new at this but I was about 15 shaves in with my straight and I was working on a ATG pass on the neck going towards the chin when the power went out. It's amazing how in sync the body can stop breathing the muscles freeze and the blood chills all at the same time. After I carefully removed the blade and set it securely on the counter....I finished off the shave with my mag light.
