Agree 100%. It looks like he actually ground into the shoulder along with the spine and bevel. In my opinion, whoever did this to your razor owes you a replacement.

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

Hmm an extreme fix for a not so extreme problem. Looks like he took off way too much metal and used too much pressure on the power wheel. That Boker is rather flexible and has a bellied grind (extra hollow) he wore down into where the blade bellies out. Its not the end of the world but man he tore your razor up. Your going to have to re hone that mess probably with at least 2-3 layers of tape and keep the pressure on the light side as i said those blades flex easy and you can easily hone behind the edge if you strong arm it too much. which leads to more the same chasing the sharpness of the blade never getting there and wearing you razor away unnecessarily. I dont know what to say here other than, if you cant hone yourself right now please find a good razor honer / restorer check our classifieds or member list for a guy near you and get in contact with them and see what might be done. I think that razor could be fine with some TLC.

Just curious did you get that razor fix at Ganiveteria Roca? That is a very neat historical cutlery shop. Been to Barcelona a few times. Facinating city. Good Luck

No, my other SR Are fine, there were honed using stones.

No, it was not in gavineteria Roca it was in gavineteria Soto which is the other place in Barcelona that does this (very good reputation) so that is why i am speechless about what I am hearing regarding their work.

The honer of gavineteria Roca is my friend and believe it or not he said that the boker had a good edge after the power wheel treatment... Agresive approach but OK.... Confused here...
