    Default Major Calamity, newbie error!

It goes a bit like this, get in from Golf, have a Long shower, prep my face and reach for my brand new E-Koorat from SRD. Started shaving with it, my first near wedge, wasn't comfortable so switched to my Dovo, all going well until I picked up the E-K to clean it and then..........dinged it on the tap/faucet at the tip of the blade, so I really buggered it up, felt gutted so now it's going back to Lynn art SRD to be fixed buy the master.
A moments Lack of attention and disaster ensues, I feel like a bloody idiot for being so careless.
Thats the last time that's going to happen, I hope!

Probably not the last time. It happens to all of us at one time or another. Does not matter if you are new or experienced.

Don't feel to bad gets everyone sooner or later. Once it's fixed will be as good as new and you got a lesson to boot

I did the same when my cell phone went off about 6:00 am.

These things happen. Sending it back to Lynn was a very smart move.

Don't beat yourself up over it. No-one died! Do you rinse your blade off under the running tap? If you do, then knocking the edge is easily done. Just wipe the blade as shaving on a towel, flannel or tissue. Much safer for your edges.

When I reach for mine, to prevent dingd, I angle the spine up so the spine will tale any dings and not the edge.

I rinse my blades under the tap too, it happens...

Never let your eyes leave that blade when it's in your hands is a bit of advice that was passed on to me. I started using that tidbit, quit dinging blades.

I like to use very low water pressure from the faucet. Blade can be further away without splashing. Or you can change the faucet over to a nice high one which makes it easier again
My wife calls me......... Can you just use Ed

better the blade than the user , I ran a full hollow across my knuckle awhile back during a shave such a clean cut it paused before it gushed .
