Thread: Feather SS first Shave

First Shave with the Feather SS straight handle this morning. Wow, I've never held something as sharp as those professional blades. In all, it went well. Made sure I had zero distractions - boys in daycare, and wife at work. Had the house to myself! Finding the correct angle wasn't easy. Of course this is coming from someone who is accustomed to Gilette Fusion blades. Took three passes on my face. First with the grain, then two against the grain. Keep in mind, I have a beard, and am only shaving my cheeks, neck, bottom lip, and upper part of top lip. Not my whole face.

I took my time, and escaped with only two very minor nicks and zero razor burn...best I can tell. In the end, the most difficult part was shaving directly under my nose. Still have some minor growth there. I expect with dedication, my shave time will significantly be reduced.

Thanks to everyone here for assisting us newbies. I've learned so much before I ever even unwrapped my razor.
