Thanked: 135A shout out to the mentors
And in particular Euclid440. I've been struggling to maintain my razors consistently on the hones I purchased when I first came into the hobby. After rendering my favorite razor basically un-shavable after a night honing, I decided to ask for some help and contacted a mentor in the area. Euclid440, or Marty, responded immediately and was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He dialed me in pretty quick and this morning the razor gave a very nice shave. More importantly I now feel better equipped and prepared to take care of my razors.
For those starting out; if you need help, take advantage of the community here. The mentors are great.
Thank you Marty
(you still have some work to do)

Scary photo. Hope the edge is not resting on the stone
The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.

An amazingly beautiful hone in the background.
What a curse be a dull razor; what a prideful comfort a sharp one
