Sorry I cant help about the time you've yet to spend there.

Welcome to the board Dan! Yes, there is alot of information here, and alot of good people as well, so keep posting! I know it's very little consolation, especially when you want to be home to get started with a new razor, and to be with your family, but THANK YOU for your service to the Country.

    Dan,

I don't know how exactly to arrange this, since you already bought it, but I would be happy to do the following.

    1. Ship the razor to me in the US (I don't know if you're US military, etc...)
    2. I'll ship it to your APO address so you can use it soon.
I don't know the right 'format' for shipping to an APO, but I'm sure you can explain it, and I'll ship it free of charge to you. I'm happy to help make your stay in Iraq better in small way if I can.

    Take care,
    John

John beat me to the punch!

I have sent a razor / brush to a military member - he received everything alright, albeit not too fast (wasn't ridiculously slow either!)

I was going to say that if you want I'll send you one of my razors to use until you get home. It will be just a no frills razor but a very good shaver, depending on what I find in my boxes. PM me if interested.

    Cheers
    Ivo

ps if you have done your homework - you know you also need a strop, right (you can use a belt, for sure)

Not sure why you can't recieve it there. I ship to APO addresses, Iraq in particular weekly. Razors, sets, etc.... go without a glitch and several of the servicemen who post here have gotten them from me. Are you ordering from a US dealer or European? Some of them have trade sanctions.

I know the postmaster recently told me both Pakistan and Cuba though sudenly have restrictions on nearly all mail sent that way.

Back when we used Triceratops for Armored Vehicles I did a couple of years in scenic SE Asia as a tail gunner on a Petrosaur. (My grandsons are seriously into dinosaurs). Anyway, I always enjoyed getting a care package from home. My favorite was a Cherry Pie from my aunt that my uncle had carefully cut a very small slice from. It was covered in a light green mold but tasted pretty good none the less.

If you'll send me a pm with your APO address I'll collect some essentials for Str8 razor shaving and send them with a razor to one of our honemeisters for sharpening and forwarding with the goodies at my expense. If other "Brothers of the Blade" are doing the same, perhaps we could coordinate our shipment to make sure this lad gets some of all the right stuff to keep him entertained for the next year or so.

    Hear hear!

Don't get yourself awarded a Victorian Cross of Valor either.
The usual requirement is that you do something so foolish^w brave that you end up dead. Though on occasion, it gets awarded to someone who goes 'Rambo' and stays alive.

The is not demean those who are true heros, but I prefer people to stay alive if possible.
