Fresh Fish
Hi everyone,
Joined the forum today 18/05/07 after falling upon it via a video link on youtube. Ive been using a DE razor for about a year now and have finally decided it's time to make the transition to an straight razor.
Have previously been posting on wetshaversgroup on msn but feel this forum/community has more to offer by way of customized content.
Ok, a little bit about myself so you know who you're talking to ...
I'm Graham Martin aged 27 and live in Northern Ireland. Work in a bank and hope to move to England either this year or next to study Radiography.
Thanks for having me.

Thanks chaps.
Lynn, are you the guy who does the honing for ppl on the board etc?
Am thinking of purchasing this razor (will be my first) and would need it honed most likely? I guess you're in the US? Might be tricky getting my razor over there.

Can anyone verify that this is a good razor?
Graham.

Welcome Graham. The Bismark is a good razor. You can also check the buy/sell forum here for good, shave ready razors at reasonable price. I'm sure others from your side of the pond will chime in, but I think they've done well buying from U.S. sources also due to the exchange rate. Enjoy

Welcome Graham, I know you came to the right place. We will try to help any way we can. Make sure you look at the archive, lots of good info, and Lynn's DVD that is available from classic shaving. Keep us posted on how you do.

Thanked: 0Welcome! This place makes the whole transition to straights relatively painless, and enjoyable.
Bruno and LX Emergency are your best bets for EU honing - Bruno is in Belgium and LX is in Holland. ATM there are no honers in the UK who are putting it out there, but I think there are a few who are working on it.
Cheers
