    Default First Shave

So they found my razor. I checked it out and it looked good. I tried a Ginger strop because I am a little timid of the strops curves. I pulled it straight and ran through the motions.

I shaved my cheeks. (Mostly just interested in the cheek area for now because I am working around my beard). I was amazed at how the hair falls off. I did both with and against no aftershave. I am going to see how I did. It is just starting to get a little red but no worse than a disposable.

Smooth as a baby's butt with the shaping as always being my biggest challenge.

Looks like you missed your jawline.

Good luck with the shaping, it's amazing how fast a SR will unshape a beard.

The Van Buren area is getting unruly long and that does make it a little difficult. The hairs tend to find themselves on my cheek. I am going to need to get them trimmed up or shaved off, I am still deciding on which. I was hoping the straight razor would make shaping easier, and to a certain extent I do have more control over where the blade starts and stops but when you are trying to get into a curve it gets precarious a bit. The Weck is a little easier to work those curves but with it this picture would have blood spots all along the top of the cheek.

Thank you, I still need a trim but I like the look of this over those sideburns.
