Thanked: 631Strop, razor, brush, mug and Shaving soap. If you buy new I suggest straight razor design as they come shave ready. Vintage can be good but buy from a reputable seller who will sell the razor shave ready. Read and watch videos in library. Good luck.

Investigate wisely. Obviously everyones budget is different. I recommend spending money a bit out of your budget for the brush especially.

Read then read again and then look at all the new tips and the sticky son starting out , then heed the advise, as for how long a shave ready edge lasts that's up to you doing your homework and maybe putting in the time to find a mentor close which is easier by putting your location in your profile , then sit back and try to be patient. The classifieds are good places for razors to start with, not Ebay or joe knife sharpener, Tc
