Thanked: 0Third week newbie
After three weeks of shaving with a vintage razor my wife got me a new Boker King Cutter for Christmas. By now I have been able to do my dominate side done without a problem and moved on to my other side. I have been able to get most of my non dominate side with only a couple of weepers. My chin is the most difficult. It seems my beard grows in different directions. I think I am finally getting that down too. I must say the Boker with a full hollow grind is different. My confidence has grown considerably. This morning on my non-dominate side some how I had a little tug on my hand. I don't know exactly how it happened but I know exactly what I did and it sliced off a big chunk of skin on my cheek next to my mouth. It bleed like a stuck pig. Thank God for septic pencils. I knew as soon as it happened. I don't know what I was thinking. I love shaving with a straight but it can be unforgiving. Chalk it up to learning. Maybe it was over confidence. Oh well we will move on. Its all just part of it
