Default First Shave with my Dovo 6/8 Professionally Honed

I just received my professionally honed DOVO 6/8 Best Quality Razor from Phil at Classic Edge Shaving supplies. I sure could tell the difference now from a "REAL SHAVE READY" Razor vice my other purchase a Boker 5/8 that I purchased from another supplier and made the Newbie mistake of shaving with it for about a month getting ok shaves. I have now sent my Boker off to Phil for honing services today so I will have 2 nice shaving razors.

But still amazed late in the day and my face still feels very clean. I am glad I found this FORUM only wish I had found it prior to my first purchase. I have learned so much from this place also from Lynn Abrams DVD, which by the way I recommend to all newbies to strait razor shaving. It could save you alot of trouble and get you set off on the right foot.

    Never look back.

I made a few purchasing errors early on until i stumbled into the halls of shaving knowledge this site provides.

You've found a very large group of very helpful, and extremely knowledgeable people.

Phil does nice work. I when I restarted shaving I did so with an inexpensive razor from Classic Edge. This place helped me along in my skills too.

Thanks everyone. I finished Lynns DVD I will be watching it again and this time taking notes. My shaves are getting better and better. I am not sure if its because I have a professionally honed Razor now I really haven't nicked myself at all compared to my other razor that I took straight out of the box and just started shaving with. My DOVO just glides over my beard making that really cool sound as it is effortlessly cutting my beard.

This is the stuff us long time straight shavers like to hear. Good for you.
