Thanked: 203G'Day From Downunder
Hi All,
Glad to have found you. This site is terrific. Guess there are some good things about the Internet. Found out about it via the Australasian Knife Collectors and bought Lynn's DVD. Fantastic. i am a hobbyist knifemaker {everyone is better than the last i made} who learnt mostly by trial and error. My question - Does anyone know of any literature i can get on how to actually make straight razors ? i have a modest collection, and now what to add razor making to my skills, but just don't want to spend too many more years in the trial and error camp.
Thanks

Welcome, Adam
Welcome from Up Over that up over.
You've come to the right place. There are some razor makers right here that you can discourse with about your desires. They should chime in shortly.

Welcome aboard. It'd be good to have another potential razor maker on board to add to the terrific bunch. I am a willing guinea-pig for all shave related products, btw
I don't know about books, but the TI, DOVO and Livi making videos are a great start.

If you PM me with an ftp (account/pass as well), I can drop the TI vid for you. The DOVO one is more informative, but I'm not sure who has it (PM me lol). As for the Livi video, that's a bit of a sticky. It's copyrighted material that's included with the purchase of a Livi blade.
