That's kinda what I was thinking. I am going to an academey for training and will be gone for six months. I would like to get a couple of Tabac Shaving Sticks because of limited space but I can't seem to find anybody that carries it in the states. Any help would be wounderful.
By the way I found a couple of things that I was doing wrong. I think the big culprit was in my hurry to start shaving, I decided to use one of my wifes elastic hairbands to hang my strop on. Needless to say I don't think I was getting the strop tight enough to work right. Opps!! The second thing I did was take my time and I really slowed myself down. I still ahve a burning sensation on my neck but not quite as bad.

glad you figured it out. Heck, you can just lay the strop on the table and do a better job

Tabac bowl is kinda big, but if you can't find the sticks you may just cut the soap up?

    Good luck

My question aboput the soap relly didn't deal with that though. I was just wondering if the reason it dries out quick is something that that particular soap does.
I also started with that soap but quickly learne that it leaves a lot to be desired. A better quality soap will make it easier to obtain a good shave.

    Just my two cents,
