It is faint but it is there. Also shaved with it. The seller, to his credit, stated it was not "shave ready", but 10 or 15 passes on felt with diamond spray, normal honing regiment, helped out to get a decent shave. At some point I will send it out to getprofessional honed. I will also try to get some more photos. From what I found the razor was made in the 1880's. How cool is that!!!

Nice etching on the blade. Be new to straight razors - is that etching rare?

Very nice razor, one that I would be proud to have in my collection.

I'm not going to lie, I'm a newbie too. However, I can tell you it took me a while to this etching on the website, and I'm talking weeks.

I like the etching on your blade, I found one the other day a boker. It was etched with something pertaining to a worlds fair or something of that nature and the antique shop wanted $599.95 for it. I laughed said thanks for letting me look and had her put it back. Enjoy yours though

Nice, here is a good thread by Geezer on making an etch pop. You can even do it temporarily by using a sharpie in place of cold bluing.

Very nice indeed. I recently picked up a W&B with an American inspired theme etched on the blade. Very cool and a great razor.

    Enjoy yours!
