Thanks for the help! Tony Miller/Josh
A few weeks ago, after I decided to try my luck at straight shaving, I appealed to this site for advice and help getting started without spending several hundred dollars. I can't believe how the members came through and really got me started.
Special mentions are Tony Miller and Josh.
Josh hooked me up with a shave ready razor at a reasonable price. It's a great shaver, and hasn't given me any stitches yet.
Tony really went above and beyond as well. If you don't want me to post this Tony, let me know and I'll delete it.
Anyway, he PM'd me and said he had a 4 paddle strop that was accidentally damaged, so he couldn't sell it as new. He said it was still usable, though, so he'd sell it to me at a discount price.
The strop came last week. Maybe it's just because I'm a newbie, but if that's what Tony considers a less than perfect strop his perfect strops must be incredible. It has a dent on one corner that you'd need a magnifying glass to find. What a quality strop and a stand-up vendor.
Thanks guys!

Glad I could help. Yeah, I had just made a batch of paddles and pre-pasted this one for a customer. A fellow called to ask about paddles and while on the phone I was playing with this one when it jumped out of my hand and landed on one corner on the floor. I could not sell it as new with the corner mashed so a bargain was made!
Glad you got started right.

People helping people: that's what this site is all about. I apologize for the Barbara Streisand reference...
