Shaving in az
Good morning guys. I've been using my dovo shavette for about 2months now. Just wanted to drop by and mention that my shaves are consistently greeting better. It feels like my skills are staying to get as sharp as my blade, but deffinetly room for improvement. Today's shave i used two passes wtg and agt. Not quite bbs but getting better.
It seems that my under neck beard grows from left to right except when it reverses under my right ear. Figuring out the grain seems to be one of many factors in a great shave.
Any and all advice is welcome and appreciated

Hello & Welcome Aboard,,,,,,,,,,,,
Taking your time & progressing through the different stages of the wet shaving journey is where all the fun is and its how you learn to overcome the small hurdles.
Different stages like the preshave, lathering, type of soap/cream to use, choice razor, choice of brush and aftershave/post shave; all play a part in the shave. Everyone's face is different in regard to how you will struggle with certain areas of growth & the effort it takes to get a close shave in that area.
Take your time, there is no rush.

Welcome.
Been using a SR since June.
One of the things I really enjoy now after a few shaves...
is hitting that one stroke that is "perfect".
By perfect I'm not being literal; just that one time every few shaves when that one stroke is leaps and bounds above my current skill.
Pure Bliss.
JerKeep it safe and Cheers,
Jer

I've been using a straight or dovo shavette for 4+ years, still improving....
Still not sure how I shaved with the lather I was making years ago.
My grain sounds pretty similar, try angling you blade at 45deg to your neck. That helps me get a touch closer, but I'm never completely bbs there.

Thanked: 228Welcome to SRP. Practice makes perfect. I have to say, chasing the BBS shave is fine but IMO a bit over-rated. DFS is okay with me.
