Default Looking for Edmonton or Calgary Peeps to show me the ropes with my new straigh razor!

    Hello!
I just ordered my first straight razor, a 11/16 Hollow Ground Kropp ordered second hand from a guy on the Canadian Wet Shavers Forum.
He honed it with a Jnat stone, and says it is a very smooth shaver.

The posts I searched for on this forum regarding Kropps had good things to say about them, and I really liked the style of it.

    What do you guys think?

I'm looking for some other straight razor peeps in Edmonton (or Calgary) that I can connect with in person. to show me the ropes with the new straight razor. In particular stropping since I don't want to roll the edge on my brand new razor.

In Cow-Town you are looking for Raol, in Edmonton you are looking for Thisisclog. They are both great guys and will be happy to get you shaving. Shoot them a private message and I am sure you will get a response in a relatively short period of time. I had no idea Canadian Wet shavers forum even existed. Kropp are great razors. I hope you have everything you will need. There are quite a few others in your general area. This is the first year there has not been a meet there. All in good time I suppose. Happy shaving!

Kropp razors, like most vintage razors are well made. They are very common on eBay and can be had quite cheap.

Judging from the photo, the blade looks great. The scales are atrocious and anachronistic, but that's just my opinion.
