The cheapest way, who knows ? Not intended to be a dumb answer to your question, but I guess it depends on who hones it & if there are any issues with the razor that require more than just running it through the progressions. The B/S/T section is recently implemented & sections are still being developed.

With your new razor, there are probably not any issues, other than it needs to be run through the progressions and made shave ready. There are numerous members throughout the globe that can do that for you. Look at this link provided , the local help section & send a private message to a member of your choice. 90% of the guys on this list can make your razor shave ready & quote you a price.

If they cannot do it themselves, then they will certainly tell you who can. All this done with a simple private message.

If your razor has issues, then you can reach out to these "3" restoration members and discuss the problem.

    I hope this helps.

Thank you very much Hirlau. I see that you are also in Florida, do you offer a honing service?

I do not, unless you are within a few miles drive. I do not accept through the mail razors to be honed.

If you are referring to the Dovo you recently purchased from a Barber, it could possibly be shave ready. Go to the beginners section, read as much as you can. Without stropping it, attempt to shave your cheek only with your dominant hand. Low angle. If this fails, send out for a hone. If you get a satisfactory result, continue with your non-dominant hand on opposite cheek, and so on.
Hope this helps, best of luck.

I bought a new Dovo and it was "shave ready" from the factory, though not as good as I would have liked but certainly enough to shave with. Do as Grazor has suggested. If you do end up sending it away I don't think that it will need much more than just a refresh on a high grit stone so shouldn't be time consuming or expensive.
