Building lather
Hello all,
I don't seem to have much to post these days, so I thought I'd post this:
I now have building lather down pat. Seemed like I would never learn. But, never is apparently about a year and a half. Nothing on mirror, the counter or my chest, just on my face."Everybody owes, everybody pays. Because that's how you stand up against the rising of the tide."

Thanked: 4206I'm still learning I guess if you count the chest lather, hahaha.
Congrats on keeping it where it counts sir!

Thanked: 4826I am a seriously sloppy latherer and I get it everywhere. Face or bowl lathering makes no difference. I do however always rinse and dry my hands before picking up my razor, every time, lather is slippery and can cause accidents.

Thanked: 4206Yes, I've got a routine for hand drying as well between strokes or grips. 'Wet' shaving does not apply to hands.

I honestly still have my days. Some days it is perfect some it likes to dry a bit before being shaved. Good job getting that nailed down.

Thanked: 481I don't really get lather on the mirror, but it's inevitable that it gets everywhere else. I seriously considered shaving my chest last time I dribbled lather onto it so it wouldn't go to waste, but then I decided it would probably be dry before I finished my face so I let that thought go.

Thanked: 6It took me some time to properly lather. It would always be too wet and thin, with the soap running down my arm and all over the countertop. That went on for close to 6 months before I "experimented" and figured it out.

Thanked: 292Hey Marshal, we must have graduated from the same school of lather making.
I tend to bowl lather until I get a thin lather and then face lather until it becomes thicker. Transferring the thin lather from the bowl to my face is a rather sloppy process.
I shave after showering, but I rarely put on my tee shirt until I complete my shave; I always dribble lather on my shoulders and chest as well as the counter. The dog's water bowl is a few feet from my vanity and my wife fusses at me every time she sees lather floating in the bowl. Oops!

I usually bowl lather, because I make such a mess when I face lather.
