what it is the best way to apply diamond paste to a strop(table strop specifically)???

i have a two sided strop and i was told i need to paste the light bronw side

do i rub it with the razor a cloth?

I rub mine in with my clean finger, then let it air dry for a day. Less is better, you can always add more in a day or so.
