Default New to the world of SR, familiar with wet shaving

Hello SRP, I am delving into the world of straight razors and am very happy to have found this forum!

I have been DE shaving for a few years and felt it was finally time to look into SRs, mostly due to the wicked_edge subreddit and some amazing razors someone bought there...totally jealous.

Anyone local to the Hillsboro area? Know of good shops to drool over...er uh, visit? I'll have to get down to Portland Razor Co someday soon.

Send them a PM I'm sure one or both would be happy to help you out.

As far as getting started, check out the Buy Trade Sell section for a decent razor to learn on at a fairly inexpensive price. Then you can go out and start spending all kinds of big bucks!

Razorfeld, I am in Forest Grove quite often. I would be thrilled to have a chat with you! I don't have any particular questions at the moment but I will be sure to ask when I do.

Welcome! Yes, there are some very fine razors out there.

I went to Portland Razor Co. a couple weeks ago, they are a nice group of people. Here is a video I took during my visit.
