I'll have diamond paste in a few days and am going to make some bench hones.
I have found pastes to be indispensable in getting a razor REALLY sharp.

Let me talk to the wife about taking a ride down your way.

You could come here but then I would be under pressure and since I can't even pee under pressure I wouldn't expect it to help my honing either.

As someone said, experience is the best teacher and driving 3 hours to look at what I'm doing and say
"That's exactly what I'm doing !?"
and having me reply " Well OBVIOUSLY not !"
may be a bit anticlimactic.

I saw in another post now that you have a norton and diamond paste.
I haven't used a Norton but I'm guessing there's nothing to it but to do it.(is my confidence frustrating or what?)
I'll be getting a bunch of Wapi razors this week and if you want something junky to beat up I have lots. I'll dig and see what I can find.
Are you married or know someone the wife can hang out with while we are on the razor thing?
