Welcome to the forum Santo! the best advice that I can give is to take things slow, read the library, and when you ask questions - do listen to the advice you get.
You're going to have to rely heavily on online advice and internet shopping being up in Iowa. I was born and raised there and I'm not aware of a single place that sells straight razors, much less strops and brushes, and all the delightful things you get to buy along the way. That doesn't mean that won't change though!

Thanked: 2Funny how many people end up here due to the wonder of technology! You'd think we would get better shaves with tech. Nope. I too am here because I'm fed up with cartridge nonsense shaves. Tired of the multiple blades turning my neck into raw hamburger.
