Thanked: 20Dominant hand?
I'm about 30 shaves in and I still get a small nick or cut here and there. I use my non-dominant hand to shave my right cheek only. I use my dominant hand everywhere else. Do you think I would be better off if I used both hands?

That is a very personal choice and depends on how comfortable you are with the other hand. I've been using a straight for many, many years and still mainly use my right hand.

Thanked: 3226Yes, use whichever hand you are comfortable with. Nick and cuts are more related to shaving technique than what hand you are using to shave with.

I started with the dominate hand only and eased into using both hands. I just used my non dominant hand to shave areas where I felt comfortable. As my technique and experience grew, my comfort area grew, and eventually (several months) that comfort area covered my whole face.

Try whatever feels comfortable to you.
I use the right hand for the right side and the left for the left side.
I tried using only the right for both sides but found that approach very uncomfortable.
Part of the fun in this hobby is trying different things. If you don't care where you are, you are not lost.

What hand do you get the nicks with?
One thing that I don't see mentioned is eye dominance. I am right handed but left eye dominant. Not a huge difference but it effects what works for you.
