Chin Trouble
I keep having the darndest trouble shaving my throat and chin area. I thought the paddle strop would fix it, but nay. The razor practically glides through all my other hair (2-3 pass BBS), but as soon as I get to my chin/throat stubble, it's like I hit steel wires! I'm breaking out like a teenager from the irritation
I'm sure it just has to do with my technique, but I wanted to see what the more experienced shavers had to say about it.

Thanked: 16I asked this question a few weeks ago and had some really good feedback. The result being that now I get a good shave all over and every day. Well worth giving some of these suggestions a go!

i think now that I'm more confident, I can do a downwards pass over my chin although this is never adequate and I end up using the approach from the side as someone suggested.

The chin is a difficult area and many of the passes are advanced moves. Always stretch the skin first then you can go straight down and around, come from the sides inwards or at an angle and do the S-N pass against the grain. As far as the throat goes you will be limited by the type of symmetry you have to that area. Some can only go N-S and S-N and some can use more of an oblique angle while some can go E-W or W-E. You just have to try everything.
