Thread: Info please

I have an antique straight razor that belonged to my grandfather, the case says Otto Enke I think Barron ( leather case is worn ) Solingen.
Any information on the age of this?

Welcome to the forum. In many instances the case the razor is in is mismatched to the razor. What is important is what is stamped on the razor itself. If you could add that information along with a clear photo of the markings it would go a long way to identifying the razor.

Otto Enke Barmen Solingen ( thanks didn’t think to look there)

The maker's name is Otto Enke. I've seen a few of them, but don't know anything about him.
Barmen is a city located next to Solingen, maybe 10 miles away, kind of like a suburb of Solingen.
More than likely it is a good razor. Have it professionally honed and start shaving.
