Where are you located? Your country of residence will determine if you have to pay or not import tax/VAT and I don't know what else.

Then you are good to go. Bought plenty on eBay, never paid any taxes be it from Japan or Sweden.
Reading through the CBP website anything less than $800 doesn't even require any paperwork. I think the overall limit for tax free is 2 or 2.5K depending where I looked.

Just be careful with one seller, he posts his razor arranged on top of littler shot glasses. He manipulates the pics and the razors arrive in worse condition than showed. If you need a list of people I have dealt with and things went fine just shoot me a PM so we are not violating any rules here. If allowed I don't mind sharing publicly either.

I'm from the Bay and have bought stones, knives, and straight razors from Japan and never paid any tax. One thing I did notice is we get things very fast shipping wise to the Bay, because of all the high tech in our area. That is a good thing, we don't have to wait to long.
Japanese straight razors shave very very niiiiiiice!
