Welcome back to the fold, Harold! I also took a bit of a sabbatical from wet shaving a few years ago, but when I returned to the sport I found it was just like riding a bike...everything came back rather quickly. Hope you continue having fun around here and stay with us.

I personally don’t think shaving with a DE is anything close to starting over if you ask me. That’s like saying you’re starting over after your wife left you... because you moved in with your girlfriend! LoL! Nothing wrong with DE wet shaving!
As already stated, there is no question that if you want to master a straight, you have to put in the time. I made a pact with myself to only use a straight for one whole year. Now I can shave with a DE for months, and then switch to a straight seamlessly. That year did it. Now I enjoy DEs, and straights.
