Thanked: 0My entry.
Hello everyone.
I'm a 29 year old guy from Sweden. I work as a nurse at an emergency ward in a rather small hospital.
About 6 months ago i started my adventure in to the wetshaving world. I started of by using American Crews shaving creams and i've moved on to a lot better products. Among the the 3 T's and a few others. I moved from using an electric shaver to the Mach 3, Fusion and a couple of other over to a DE and i have what i beleive to be become quite confident in using a DE and been getting BBS shaves. All along i've been dreaming about straight shaving.
This is why i now have joined this forum. In hope that you fine gentlemen will give some good advice along as the questions progress.
I'm glad to be here and Thank You for your time.

Thanked: 0I really don't have anything yet. I have soaps, brushes, a few SAD's but no straight razors. I really don't know where to start yet.

Thanked: 2209Well the next step is to buy a honed and shave tested straight razor and a plain leather strop. You would also benefit by purchasing the DVD that the founder of this forum, Lynn Abrams, has available. Look in the Buy/Sell/Trade forum. I think it is one of the "Stickies".
For a Str8 razor also look in the same forum. Many of the guys are selling razors that they have cleaned/reconditioned. Just be sure that it is honed and shave tested.
By all means do not buy a new razor from Ebay without checking with us first! There is a tremendous amount of pure junk being sold on Ebay. You can PM me or just about anyone else for help with that.
Hope this helps,Randolph Tuttle, a SRP Mentor for residents of Minnesota & western Wisconsin

First, Welcome.
You are embarking on a great adventure here, and there is a ton of information at your disposal on this forum. Take what Randy says and get a str8 from someone on this forum that is shave ready. There are a ton of people on here who have basic razors at totally reasonable prices (you can pick a decent razor for $30US), and shipping will just be a bit different as you are in Sweden.
Keep looking around and asking questions, I will be here to answer as well as the other more qualified people.

Welcome, best thing is to start buy buying Lynn's DVD and watch it right through a couple of times - it's worth its weight in gold and will answer 99% of any questions you have.
Anything else just ask away, there are quite a few of us Europeans on SRP now.
