Well....A good-shaving Friodur will go longer without stropping than anything I have found.
I never go away for 21 days, but my travel razor is always a Friodur or a Hess 44 as I never take a strop. Still, the paper held-up and kept the edge stropped clean.
That's a good thing!

Thanked: 292If you are traveling and are staying in a hotel, many of them have newspapers available, at least on weekdays. The packing paper strop used by RezDog worked well, but printing ink contains fine abrasive pigments that may enhance the effect of stropping on paper. Thus, do not fear folding up a USA Today or the local editorial pages.

Thanked: 4830True story. The newspaper, if available works great. I was using the best I had available. I had previously used the inside face of a cereal box too, mostly because the outside seemed too glossy. There are many things that work in a pinch.
It's not what you know, it's who you take fishing!

Cool, Shaun-I haven't had a newspaper in the house in years, but I used to tune up an edge on a folded up comic strip, or a green page in the Sunday supplement.
There are many roads to sharp.
