Need for Acronym Sticky?
Hello. I've done a search for acronyms specific to these forums/shaving/honing/etc., and find lots of requests for help understanding, but no list . It strikes me that such a compilation, made into a sticky would be of great value to we newbies. As mundane as it may seem to the experienced, I know it would really help with the learning process, and cut down on the frustration of figuring out a new "language". Gurus? Please.

Thanked: 3Totally concur, although I managed to figure a lot of the language by myself. Certainly would help. Whenever I read a post, I would just stare at the acronyms and wonder, "wtf does that mean?" After learning different techinques and remembering which forum I was in, I was able to figure them all out, except for BBS, which I asked when there was a subject on it. Although I think at one point I did figure it out, but just forgot...

Yea, some can be figured out depending on the conversation, but some people are just better at knowing what they are. I'm not good at that!!
YMMV, FWTW, etc., etc..
Thanks for the thread. I just haven't had the b*lls to speak up.

Since the search function requires a minimum of 4-characters, looking for 3-character abbreviations is challenging. Try putting the "wildcard" character (*) either before or after what you're searching for to make it 4-characters.... eg, *RAD or RAD*. By doing so, I quickly found [this]
