Who's da man????
Last night, I decided to give one of my Wapi's a shave test. The razor was not able to pass the HHT, and I have no idea what the TNT or TPT are supposd to feel like and so these remain useless to me. However, the razor was able to shave both arm and leg hair.
After a full pyramid on my Norton 4k/8k I was unable to discern any difference in the sharpness of the blade and, as such, felt the blade was sharp enough. I pulled out an old leather belt (as I have not yet received my TM Starter Strop) and gave the razor 40 laps on the "rough" side of the belt, followed by about 40 laps on the finished side.
I prepared my face as usual... wash, splash with hot water, and lather with Proraso. The shave was very good... after 3 passes (WTG, XTG, and ATG) my face was BBS. This was better than any shave I've ever had with a DE.
I did have some razor burn on my neck area, but no nicks or cuts. I also found that the razor still pulled a tiny bit. Both of these points I attribute to needing the razor a bit sharper and my shaving skills further developed. But,... nevertheless... I remain very satisfied with last night's shave.
This was only my 2nd shave with a str8 and I didn't even have to do any touch-up's with my DE. Today, I've been faceturbating all day and bragging to my co-workers about my initiation into manhood. (They all think I'm nuts, but are intrigued at the same time...)

Congrats, good to hear. I never tried a belt, I was lucky and had a strop when I started. Wapi's are turning out to be the pick up truck of the shaving world. Easy to care for, easy to sharpen and always shaves good...Who's da man? You da man.
