    Some German made straight razors with square tips were made with a chamfer at the tip edge which mirrored one at the spine at the tip. The Sanssouci looks to be one of them. I guess some makers acknowledged the inherent problem with square point razors. The true unmodified square point is often referred to as an American point on some sites.
