Default From All Of Us To All Of You.

So once again The Holiday Season is upon us. The older I get the faster it seems to come around.

I was just thinking the other day how we seem to be living in a world where there are always two sides to every issue and terms like “false news” and “facts“ are thrown around so easily.

Our site is comprised of a very diverse membership. Though we are mainly U.S based we have members from many other countries with a large contingent from our neighbors up north.

We are able to all come together no matter where we hail from and have cordial discussions concerning all manner of shave related topics. Similarly, we can usually (har har) have civil discussions even in the off topic areas.

Maybe that is what this world needs. Instead of highlighting our differences we need to start thinking about our commonalities. Maybe that’s the first step to changing things for the better.

As I say every year we are really an extended family. I’ve heard it said we are all “brothers of the blade”. To all the folks who visit our site on a regular basis, you are all invited to join our family and make a difference here.

On behalf of Ivan and the entire staff we would like to wish you all and your families both close and extended a Very Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukah and a happy, healthy, and prosperous New Year.

Thank you, Nelson, and everyone else!

I've always felt privileged to be part of this family and I appreciate every one of you.

It is amazing that we have such a diversity here and yet we all share the same values which unite us!

Wish you all merry holidays and a great upcoming year!

As they used to say on Barney Miller, "Very well put." Thanks for the words of wisdom, Nelson. Merry Christmas, Happy Hannukah, or whatever you celebrate to all. No matter the cultural traditions, it should be about warm feelings of love shared with friends and family.

    Hi all,

I haven’t been a member of this forum for very long and the most stunning thing to me was the incredible kindness generosity and support that I receive as I gain proficiency as a straight shaver.

We are drawn together as a minority dedicated to a centuries old skill that most people would think crazy.

I am proud to be one of this band of brothers and I’m honoured to call you all brother.

I can’t wait to see what Father Christmas brings you all.

I wish all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
