Thread: Washington, DC

Anyone here from the DC Metro area? I need some information that is local to the DC area, that of course pertain to Streight Razors.

I live in Northern Virginia aobut 20 minutes south of the district. I am not sure how much help I can be, but I would definately try.

Where do you go to obtain the razor, strop and hone? I know about Knife Center in college park, md. There is a shop in northern VA, don't know if the sell these things. Are there second hand shops that might have these things for less? Consignment shops that might be able to drop the price tag a bit.

What Rich said. The on-line vendors generally have much better prices- lower overhead, etc. The brick and mortar stores I've been to are typically 10-30% higher in price. You can also get good shave ready razors from members here. See the vendors area/list for places to buy hones.
